Chances are you thought you’d never hear Tame Impala and Carly Rae Jepsen mentioned in the same breath but, today you are and it’s for a good reason.
Some genius has done the impossible by mashing-up the Aussie band and the Canadian popstar together and making it sound highly listenable.
Oneboredjeu has taken the instrumental of Tame Impala’s ‘Less I Know The Better’ and put the acapella for Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘I Really Like You’ over the top and the result is an A+ jam.
YouTubers are shook by the results, gasping at the fact that Tame Impala and Carly Rae are a match made in heaven.
“Never thought Tame Impala could go with anything. Their sound is so unique. You’ve done what I think is impossible. Nice work,” one particularly keen commenter has written.
In the past year, Kevin Parker has worked with Lady Gaga and had his song covered by Rihanna so you never know, an IRL collab with Jeppo may not be that much of a weird concept.
