Listen: New Leaked Track From The Knife ‘A Tooth For An Eye’

The Knife’s new and elusive track A Tooth For An Eye has been appearing, disappearing and reappearing across the internet. Briefly being uploaded to Soundcloud, Tumblr and Hype Machine, it appears the song is currently residing on YouTube (though who knows for how long).

The opening track from The Knife’s upcoming fourth studio album Shaking The Habitual, A Tooth For An Eye is the second taste of the increasingly anticipated LP with the nearly 10-minute lead single Full Of Fire popping up online last month.

Sonically, A Tooth For An Eye is more subdued but perhaps less accessible than Full Of Fire, but still perfectly in sync with what we’ve come to expect from The Knife. Singer Karin Dreijer Andresson’s delivers the melody with her signature ache and break, while the production is driven by a collection on jungle percussion and synths.

Listen to A Tooth For An Eye below, while you can. Shaking the Habitual is due out 8th April.

UPDATE 16/02/13:

YouTube clip has been removed. A wild SoundCloud link appears! You’re welcome.
