The news last week that the Lost Weekend festival has been cancelled is still having an effect on upcoming tours it seems.
In lieu of the cancellation, Oregon pop-punk outfit The Thermals have just announced via their Myspace that their entire Australian tour has been abandoned, for the time being anyway. Here’s what they had to say:
“The Thermals’ upcoming Australian tour (March 7-12) has been cancelled due to the cancellation of the Lost Weekend Festival. We are really sad we can’t make it over there at this time. We hate to disappoint our fans! We plan to reschedule the tour for later this year in support of our new album, which comes out this fall. Thank you.”
