Violent Soho Have Their Own Beer Now & They’re Throwing Parties To Launch It

We were already well aware that they’re a pack of bloody legends, but now it appears that Violent Soho are more akin to gods among men. The ne’re do wells have announced their own beer, the East Coast Crusher, and a run of launch parties where their brew will be available for all.

Rather than materialising the East Coast Crusher out of thin air, Violent Soho combined forces with brewers Stone & Wood, and this isn’t just a re-branding of an existing beer. The East Coast Crusher will be a pilot brew, meaning this is an experimental batch which will be very, very limited. The bevy is an Aussie unfiltered Kolsch, dry hopped and apparently exploding with an array of flavours.

The relationship between Violent Soho and Stone & Wood goes back to 2013, when the band featured a case of the fine beverage in their Dope Calypso video. Turns out some of the team at the brewery were fans, and reached out to the band. Years later, they’re making sweet, sweet alcohol together.

Needless to say, Soho seem pretty darn stoked on the whole thing. In a statement, the band say:

“People get to do collaborations with companies all the time but very rarely do you get to collaborate with the best in the industry. We feel like the luckiest dudes in the world that we got to hand craft our own beer with Stone & Wood in the Byron Bay Brewery. We cannot wait for everybody to try our East Coast Crusher.”

Rather than keeping it for themselves, Violent Soho have announced a series of launch parties for the beer, all of which will be going down on Thursday, 13th October. The first 50 people to show their ticket receipt for the band’s October/November tour will get their first taste courtesy of the group.

A limited number of cartons of East Coast Crusher will be available later in the month on the Stone & Wood website, and you can sign up to the Violent Soho newsletter on the band’s website by 16th October to get exclusive first access first to the beer.
