Holy Sh*t! Hear Northlane Feature On Producer PhaseOne’s Bonkers New ‘Metalstep’ Track ‘Crash & Burn’

Prepare your ears for some absolutely insane new shit because Australia’s self-styled ‘Metalstep’ producer PhaseOne has just unleashed a bonkers, fat-as new track dubbed ‘Crash & Burn’ featuring noneother than ya bois Northlane.

After famously remixing their 2015 single ‘Rot’, the bass-music-meets-metal producer has now teamed up with the Sydney metalcore titans to create a fresh slab of tuneage which is probably unlike anything you’ve ever heard before – fat bass, demonic vocals and furious dubstep crunch.

‘Crash & Burn’ has been lifted off PhaseOne’s “fresh and devastating” new album Transcendency — which is due to land on Friday, 17th April — and notably features a few more collabs with Aussie heavy music royalty.

Periphery guest on an “unhinged, feral” track dubbed ‘Digital’ while Thy Art is Murder’ CJ McMahon fired up to contribute the track ‘We Are the Free’.

“This has been the biggest musical endeavour I have ever embarked on,” PhaseOne says. “I really wanted to do more than another 4 track dubstep EP and really show off my roots and what I’m capable of compositional & from an engineering standpoint. It really allowed me experiment with genres I am known less for producing but at the same time all 13 songs are super cohesive and is a collection of music that I think is pushing lots of boundaries in this scene. I’m super proud of this album and hope you all enjoy!”

He continues: “My team and I approached some of my favourite bands and artists to work with me on this album and them after hearing a few of the ideas we pitched to them it everyone seems stoked to be a part of the project!

“This album really crosses over the metal and EDM scene hard. I’ve always tried to master merging the 2 genres seamlessly and I think in these tracks (especially) the ones featuring Northlane, Periphery & Thy Art it really shows the attention to detail.”

While you wait for it to drop, hear Northlane feature on ‘Crash & Burn’ below.

And in other news, Northlane have just finished recording their next album and it contains “double the screaming” (!!!)
