The Sound is ready to wrap up its second season after bringing performances to our TV screens when we couldn’t see them in real life, but not without one final bang: a Paul Kelly Christmas special.
The Making Gravy Christmas Special comes at a time when, in any other year, Kelly would be taking his special Making Gravy tour around the country. For obvious reasons that’s not happening, so The Sound will be airing previously unseen live footage from his 2019 performance at Sydney’s The Domain – which Music Feeds was present at.
But it won’t just be Kelly making up this Christmas special. There’ll be performances from Teskey Brothers, Baker Boy, Dallas Woods, Sampa The Great, Ball Park Music, Alex The Astronaut and Kelly’s own good friends and frequent collaborators, Vika & Linda.
Alex Lahey will also be delivering a performance of her recent Christmas single, a cover of The Ramones’ ‘Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight)’.
The second season finale of The Sound airs this Sunday, 20th December at 6pm.
