Eminem has announced a second Sydney show at the Sydney Football Stadium on December 4th as part of his 2011 Australian tour. Promoter Paul Dainty has spent weeks negotiating with Eminem’s management to get the show across the line following the first 2 shows selling out in less than 30 minutes.
Dainty was sent more than 15,000 inquiries from Sydney fans who missed out on tickets the first time round saying:
He’s made his music accessible to everyone, although it did take a number of years to break through. This is the soundtrack of our kids’ generation; his music is part of their DNA and this is going to be one of the outstanding shows of the year.
The announcement will come as a huge disappointment for Brisbane fans who were expecting the announcement of a Brisbane show. Rumours had suggested a possible show was planned for Suncorp Stadium December 5th, but apparently the rap mega star didn’t want to make the trip to the sunshine state. Was it because of the Koi Carp laws?
Tickets for the final show go on sale on November 16.
