Music Feeds Podcast Episode #36 – Millencolin

One of the main draws for the upcoming Vans Warped Tour Australia, and apparently the reason for the second announcement delay, Millencolin recently sat down for the latest Music Feeds Podcast, sending axe-man Erik Ohlsson to speak on behalf of the punk rock stalwarts.

The band are thrilled to be returning Down Under for the festival, so much so that they nixed an Austrian festival appearance just so they could make it. As Ohlsson explains, a replacement was needed for the Austrian event before the band could lock anything in, hence the delay.

Ohlsson is well aware of the impact his band have had on their loyal followers. Recently, they held a tattoo competition, with hundreds of fans sending in photos of their Millencolin ink. Worthy of note is that 3 of the top 5 winners were Australian, testament to the band’s traction Down Under.

Ohlsson shares some of his favourite over-the-top fan stories as well as some of his fondest Down Under memories. Though the band have a tight schedule while in the country, the possibility of a sideshow looms large. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
