Another Band Hints At Laneway Festival 2014 Lineup Slot

It’s looking as though another Laneway Festival 2014 lineup feature is firming up, only this time it wasn’t organisers who leaked the information but the artist themselves. In an interview with Tone Deaf, Washed Out main man Ernest Greene has suggested he will be in town early 2014, with the website speculating that his Down Under appearance will be for Laneway.

Discussing when they will be performing the tracks from the latest album Paracosm in front of Australian audiences Greene states, “Yeah, I think we’ll put something together for like early next year. So we’re excited about it.” Though unable to straight up confirm any dates or further information on the tour, Greene does elaborate somewhat, adding:

“I don’t know if we’ve confirmed anything or the exact time of when we’re coming over but its definitely going to happen at some point, probably in the first couple of months of next year.”

Washed Out are no strangers to our shores having performed at the 2012 edition of the festival and undertaking a run of co-headlining sideshows with Toro Y Moi. Fortunately, Greene left with some fond memories:

“It’s a long journey to get to Australia but its always a pleasure, I think every time we’ve been, its been like Winter here in the States so its Summer down there with you guys so its always like a breath of fresh air getting off the plane and going to the beach.”

So far, we know that CHVRCHES will be returning for the festival, and a confirmation from Savages is surely imminent.
