After a super positive response from fans following a few shows here and there, and the cheeky recording of a far-heavier-than-norm version of Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy, the unlikely trio of Ash Grunwald and The Living End’s Scott Owen and Andy Strachan will be bringing their tri-factor extravaganza on the road, hitting a serious amount of venues across the country.
As fate would have it, it was the better halves of both Grunwald and Owen who really did the heavy lifting. After their ladies formed the band Mr Cassidy together, the two no doubt had some spare time on the hands and decided to put it to good use, fusing their sensibilities to create a powerful sound the likes of which we’ve never heard – or at least heard this damn good.
It was only a matter of time before Strachan caught word of what was going down and straightaway wanted in. It seems he was a perfect fit and the three went on to perform festival shows in Melbourne and Perth where there vibes were so good, they decided to keep things happening. So far we’ve heard their cover of Crazy and judging by the hectic list of confirmed live shows before, it’s starting to look like something big is taking shape.
