Aussie Rappers Butterfingers Are Back, And They’re Going On Tour

Brisbane hip hop outfit Butterfingers are officially back in action, after a 10-year hiatus from the recording studio.

The ARIA Award-nominated crew made their live return at Brisbane’s Mountain Goat Valley Crawl festival over the weekend, and today they’ve announced three new headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in the lead up to their new single, ‘Big Night Out’.

The song, which the band are spruiking as a “surprisingly upbeat summer anthem”, supposedly details the true story of the time lead singer Evil Eddie was left trapped in a back alley with a broken spine after, well, a big night out.

Butterfingers released their debut album Breakfast at Fatboys in 2004, containing hit singles ‘Everytime’ and ‘I Love Work’, which reached #38 and #15 respectively on triple j‘s Hottest 100 of 2013. The group released their latest album The Deeper You Dig… in 2006.

Butterfingers’ new single ‘Big Night Out’ is set for release on Friday, 10th March, before they kick off their tour in Sydney on Saturday, 15th April. Catch all of their tour dates and ticket details below.
