South-West Sydney rapper B Wise has announced his second album, a collaboration-heavy affair titled jamie. The follow-up to 2018 debut Area Famous will arrive on Friday, 20th August via Semi Pro Sound.
The announcement comes hot off the heels of ‘B the One’, a single with Becca Hatch that arrived last month. Other previously-released singles that will feature on jamie include Kojey Radical team-up ‘Think Twice’, ONEFOUR collab ‘Won’t Stop’, the Manu Crooks-featuring ‘Summer Fr3aks’ and ‘WHO?!’.
The tracklist reveals several other collaborations, including a song with Juvé titled ‘On My Soul’, a track with JessB titled ‘Dus Ya Feet Off’, a BLESSED collaboration titled ‘Black Visionary’ and album closer ‘Ezinna’ with Sampa the Great and Milan Ring.
“jamie is a re-introduction. I wanted to show more layers of my personality, so people can relate to me on a personal level and my journey as I grow as an artist,” B Wise commented in an accompanying statement.
“I had a vision to shine light on the region through collaborations with so many amazing artists, most of whom are like family to me. I couldn’t have done it without them or my team behind the scenes that worked tirelessly to ensure the vision was executed correctly, despite the challenging times we’re currently faced with.”
