Written by Tom Williams on January 28, 2015

English ska band Bad Manners will return to Australia in June, for five headline shows around the country. The group, fronted by the larger-than-life Buster Bloodvessel, last toured Australia in 2012. This time around, Bad Manners will perform in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.

Bad Manners’ layering of ska and 2-tone rose to prominence in the 1980s, as a cheeky antidote to Thatcherian Britain. The group and renowned for their ecstatic party vibes, big sound and Buster Bloodvessel’s larger-than-life appearance and behaviour.

“We started in ‘76 and we’ve never stopped,” Buster says in a press release. “We’ve always played live shows everywhere. We’ve always recorded. We have good fun.”

When Bad Manners arrive in Australia following their tour of New Zealand in May, they’ll be ready to belt out their biggest hits, including Lip Up Fatty, Walking in the Sunshine, Lorraine, Special Brew and Just A Feeling. The group’s latest album, Stupidity, was released in 2003.
