Bieber Booed By Canadian Football Fans During Half-Time Performance

When you think football you probably don’t think Justin Bieber. Well, apparently neither do Bieber’s fellow countrymen. The Canadian singer was met with boos during a half-time performance at Canada’s football Grey Cup in Toronto.

As reported by Rolling Stone, the 18-year-old Bieber was booed before he even set foot on the field. The jeers began when Bieber appeared on the jumboscreen and continued when his name was announced. A half-time medley of Boyfriend and Beauty and a Beat from Bieber reportedly did nothing to appease the crowd, with even more boos directed at the young pop star.

Apparently Bieber took it all in his stride, however, showing nothing but love for the Toronto crowd. “Thank you so much Canada,” Bieber said addressing the agitated football fans. “I love you”.

Bieber also came under criticism earlier this week after dressing too casually for some when he accepted the Diamond Jubilee Medal from Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper. As noted by Yahoo, Bieber wore a backwards baseball cap and a white T-shirt with a set of overalls, with one shoulder unbuttoned.

Prime Minster Harper defended Bieber with an amusing Tweet that reads: “In fairness to @justinbieber, I told him I would be wearing my overalls too.”
