Big Day Out 2012 Line-up – Live Updates

The Big Day Out 2012 Line-up announcement is just around the corner and rumours and predictions are running wild with what acts organisers might have in store for us this year. With Soundwave Revolution being cancelled, a backlash from Soundwave fans may see Big Day Out 2012 tickets sell fast after slow sales last year which forced them to cancel the second Sydney show.

Prince, QOTSA and Blink 182 are the big rumours after Nui Te Koha from the Herald Sun told Triple M that the promoters had been negotiating with the acts in Europe.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are also on the list after bassist Flea said that they will announce a world tour for 2012 which will include Australia, and Eminem is also on the cards, but it appears it will be an either/or with Blink 182 and Eminem for a headline spot.

Update: Tom Meighan from Kasabian has spoken to Rip It Up, confirming themselves for BDO 2012.

Update: A few BDO leak twitter accounts have sprung up, we’ll update what comes from those. Creditability is unknown. We’re taking it with a grain of salt.

Update: Big Day Out 2012 Line up announcement will be on Thursday 29th September.

Update: Radiohead and Pearl Jam won’t headline Big Day Out 2012
