Soundwave 2012 Line up – Live Updates

Written by Brayden Darke on August 15, 2011

The Soundwave 2012 line up is slowly being confirmed (as well as rumours) with a number of bands posting via Twitter that they will be playing. The line-up was due to be announced at the first Soundwave Revolution Festival in Brisbane, but now it’s been cancelled, there is no official announcement as yet. In what seems to be becoming the norm these days with a lot of festivals, and especially with the Soundwave crew, it appears that The Soundwave 2012 line-up will also be drip fed to us.

Update: Line up will be announced from 3pm on Friday 7th October

Soundwave 2012 line up has been announced

So far Trivium, The Smoking Hearts, Forever the Sickest Kids and CKY have all but been confirmed via Twitter and we know Heaven Shall Burn are on the short-list.

Lamb Of God, Gaslight Anthem and Go Radio are also hot on the rumour list and there are a number of bands that are expected to be transferred from Soundwave Revolution to the Soundwave 2012 line-up.

Following the news of the Soundwave Revolution cancellation last week, we are still yet to hear what the story is with these so called ‘mini festivals’ that Soundwave boss AJ Maddah has spoken of. Whether the Soundwave crew can pull them together let alone the Soundwave 2012 festival, only time will tell but either way expect there to be Mayhem.
