The southern-hemisphere’s music conference Mecca that is BIGSOUND has today revealed the first batch of home-grown talent set to populate the LIVE component of the festival.
Pieced together using some of our greatest up and coming talent as well as some more established acts, the first batch of artists will leave you short of breath just scrolling through it. From A.D.K.O.B to BANFF, Gideon Bensen, Tigertown, Totally Unicorn and Sydonia, a thorough cross section of Australian music culture will be on display at the conference from September 7th – 9th, and bloody hell is it diverse.
Also announced are a number of international acts who will be making the mission down including NAATIONS from Stateside, Fazerdase, Greoni and Young Tapz from NZ and Prateek Kuhad from India. Co-programmer Maggie Collins says of the line up thus far:
“Nick and I thoroughly reviewed every single act on this lineup so far. All the acts make compelling music in their own style and are in a position to use BIGSOUND to make their mark either nationally or globally. What an honour it is to facilitate that process and further strengthen the economy of contemporary Australian music.”
Speakers appearing at the conference counterpart of the festival have already been announced, and the line up there is equally as impressive. Tickets are now available with various bundles including options to attend but the live and conference elements.
