Birds Of Tokyo performed an emotional rendition of their song Lanterns in tribute to late footballer and Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh on The Footy Show last night.
The band played with a string section and in front of a moving montage remembering Phil Walsh, who died from multiple stab wounds allegedly inflicted by his son, Cy, at his home. Cy has since been charged with his father’s murder.
Birds of Tokyo shared the clip of their performance on Facebook, alongside the hashtag #RIPPhilWalsh, and said, “Thanks guys it was an honour to play for this moment.”
