Bombay Bicycle Club Announce Australian Tour January 2013

In March of this year English indie four-piece Bombay Bicycle Club made their maiden voyage to Australia as the support act of fellow countrymen Elbow. While in Australia Bombay Bicycle Club decided to play a couple of small headlining gigs, but due to popular demand the band was forced to move to a larger venue in Melbourne and to put on a second show in Sydney.

With such an outpouring of support, it only makes sense that they give the people what they want, and with that in mind Bombay Bicycle Club are returning to Australia for their first official headlining tour in January 2013. The quartet will already be in the country for this year’s Falls Festival, and once they’re done ringing in the new year, Bombay Bicycle Club will be stopping in at Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.

Since dropping their debut album I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose, Bombay Bicycle Club has been praised by fans and critics alike. Winning NME’s Best New Band, being nominated for an Ivor Novello Award and having 2011’s A Different Kind of Fix played on triple j’s feature album are but a fraction of the band’s accomplishments. So be sure to grab a ticket and see why there is all the fuss for Bombay Bicycle Club.
