Boy & Bear Get Swamped By Crowd Of Fans At Guerrilla Gig

Sydney drivey indie folk act Boy & Bear were swampped by hundreds of fans yesterday while they were playing a special “guerrilla gig” run by Channel V. An unanticipated crowd of around 1000 were ushered back before the band could perform acoustically and unplugged at Manly Wharf.

According to news.com.au The crowd started to swell as word spread around via social networks, and frustrated punters wanted to push forward in order to hear the band’s unplugged session a little better.

Frontman Dave Hosking apologised to the fans who were asked to sit down, saying “I felt a bit bad that some people couldn’t hear. It would have been nice to play in some kind of acoustic space, but it was still good.”

They have been taking some time off from shows on the Big Day Out 2012 line-up; they played five songs including Milk & Sticks, Part Time Believer and triplej’s Hottest 100 #4 placed song Feeding Line.
