Brian Wilson Announces Bluesfest 2016 Sideshows

Architect of the Californian sound, Brian Wilson, has just announced that not only will he be playing sideshows for us when he is out for Bluesfest next year, but he’s also going to be treating us to The Beach Boys masterpiece Pet Sounds in its entirety.

A rare and unforgettable live experience, the show comprises two parts, with act 1 being Pet Sounds and act 2 being a greatest hits section. Not the first time Wilson has brought the show to our shores, but with 2016 being the 50th Anniversary of Pet Sounds’ release, this will be the last time Wilson tours the masterpiece.

Backed up by his incredible band including original Beach Boys member Al Jardine and long-term member Blondie Chaplin, this will be your last chance to see Wilson perform the album live.

The tour follows on from Wilson releasing another solo album No Pier Pressure as well as the release of the John Cusack and Paul Dano starring biopic on his life Move & Mercy, which has brought his music to a new generation of listeners.

Describing bringing Brian out to Australia as a “pinch me I must be dreaming moment” Bluesfest Festival Director Peter Noble is as excited as we all are to have this genius back in the country.

With tickets on sale this Thursday the 26th of November, be sure to get in quick for your last chance to see Pet Sounds performed live in its entirety.
