New Zealand electro-pop duo BROODS have today announced their long awaited new album, titled Conscious, will be released on Friday June 24th and to double up the good news for fans, Georgia and Caleb Nott are heading out to play some Aussie shows.
BROODS will return to Australia for an east coast headline tour in July, kicking off on July 8th at The Tivoli in Brisbane before heading to Sydney’s Enmore Theatres and The Forum in Melbourne. Joining Broods will be supports Vera Blue and Xavier Dunn.
Conscious will feature the duo’s latest single Free, which Caleb told Music Feeds represents a bold new direction for BROODS. “Basically, it was that first song that we kinda wrote and we were like, ‘Yes, this is on the right track’ – ’cause we wrote quite a few songs and we liked them, but we didn’t love them yet. And that was the first song that we just loved. We thought, that’s the first song that we want to release. That’s the song that we wanna come back with – a big slap in the face to everyone.”
The album will also feature a duet with Tove Lo and a song the duo co-wrote with fellow New Zealander Lorde.
