The Butterfly Effect have flapped their wings, and the result is a tsunami of new tour dates.
The Brisbane noughties rock lords have literally doubled the size of their massive 2018 Aussie reunion tour, adding new gigs in Canberra, Wollongong, Frankston, Hobart, Ipswich Airlie Beach and Townsville next March.
That’s in addition to their seven previously-announced shows in Bunbury, Fremantle, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane.
“The TBE planets have aligned and we are able to add another 7 shows to our March 2018 tour. These will be the final shows for this tour,” the band posted on Facebook.
“All shows supported by our good friends Rival Fire & Osaka Punch.”
ICYMI: the band announced plans to reunite with frontman Clint Boge (who quit back in 2012) back in July, marking their first shows with the OG lineup in over five years.
The tour was first announced on social media, with the band making it clear that they’re “not rushing into anything too serious just yet”.
“These shows will be a great chance for them to reconnect with their loyal fans and share the music that originally brought them together,” they said.
After Boge quit the band, The Butterfly Effect forged on with a new lead-singer Paul Gallagher, however, they eventually split up in 2016 having only released one single ‘Eyes Down’ with Gallagher.
Their last album Final Conversation of Kings was released back in 2008 and while it doesn’t sound like they’re promising any new music just yet, if these shows go well who knows what will happen.
