Conor Oberst 2015 Australian Tour Announced

Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst will tour Australia’s east coast in February and March 2015, while in the country for Golden Plains festival and a series of zoo concerts in Sydney and Melbourne. Yes, he’s playing in zoos.

Oberst’s headline tour will make stops in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Thirroul, with the singer-songwriter being supported by US folk-rock band The Felice Brothers at all shows. Oberst and The Felice Brothers will also play shows as part of Melbourne Zoo’s Twilights concert series and Sydney’s Twilight At Taronga Zoo program.

To date, Oberst has released three solo albums. His latest effort, the bittersweet-sounding Upside Down Mountain, was released in May. Australian fans should expect to hear tracks from the album when Oberst tours next year, as well as tracks from his impressive back-catalogue.

Oberst was supposed to perform in Australia in 2014 with his post-hardcore band Desaparecidos, but the group pulled out of their spot on the 2014 Soundwave Festival tour only days out from their scheduled appearance.

Conor Oberst’s 2015 Australian tour begins in Brisbane on Thursday, 25th February, and will conclude with a performance at Golden Plains festival in Meredith on Sunday, 8th March. Full tour and ticket details are available below.
