Dan Sultan Announces 2016 ‘Magnetic’ National Tour

Dan Sultan has been missing from Aussie stages for about a year, but thankfully he’s returned to the fray, today announcing a run of dates for November.

Sultan isn’t just returning for any ol’ reason, either. He’s got a brand new record to show off, due for release in 2017.

The five-date tour will see Sultan play shows in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, armed with new tunes from the new record, his first since 2014’s Blackbird.

To raise the suspense even more, Sultan has shared a teaser of the first single from the album, titled Magnetic, which signals an orchestral, sweeping direction centring around those big, raspy vocals.

Sultan says the song is, “about having too much of a good thing,” which is something we’re not at risk of because he’s only given us a 36-second teaser. No word on when we’re going to get the full thing yet, but we’re ready when he is.

The Magnetic national tour starts at the beginning of November in Fremantle, and will see Sultan in full band mode, giving us the complete Dan Sultan experience.
