Eves Karydas Announces 2019 National Tour For Debut Album ‘summerskin’

Brisbane indie pop artist Eves Karydas (formerly Eves The Behavior) has announced a 2019 national tour in support of her upcoming debut album, summerskin.

The singer-songwriter will release the record — featuring tracks like ‘Further Than The Planes Fly’ and ‘Couch’ — on Friday, 28th September, before performing in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns in February next year.

Speaking about summerskin, Karydas says the record “documents an end and the beginning that followed”.

“There are so many things that return me to those summers, like ripe peaches, salt on skin, sweet early morning air before it transcends into unbearable heat, olive groves, the smell of scorched pavement, lemon icy poles,” she says.

“I grew my hair long and listened to Jeff Buckley a lot. Everything was inspiring. I made a record that made me feel good.”

Today’s tour announcement comes after Karydas covered Franklin’s iconic single ‘You Make Me Feel (Like A Natural Woman)’ for triple j‘s Like A Version last month.
