Falls Festival Makes Surprise Second Lineup Announcement

Falls Festival organisers have unveiled the second artist lineup for the festival’s 2014/2015 celebrations, with big-name acts such as Ásgeir, Dan Sultan, Cloud Control and Megan Washington set to join artists such as Alt-J, Röyksopp & Robyn and The Black Lips, who lined Falls’ first artist announcement in late August.

Also joining the lineup will be Aussie acts Kingswood, Fishing, Thelma Plum, Northeast Party House and Art Of Sleeping. Extra acts have also been added to the festival’s ‘Boogie Nights’ celebrations, and Ásgeir has been added to the Southbound 2015 lineup.

Falls Festival’s 2014/2015 dates and locations were officially announced in July, with organisers confirming that the new-years festival will return to Marion Bay and Lorne in 2014, and will also return to Byron Bay after a very successful maiden year in 2013.

Last week’s Falls Festival ticket ballot was met with unprecedented demand. The sale also suffered from technical issues which left some hopeful festival-goers frustrated when trying to purchase 3 and 4 day passes.

Luckily, Falls Festival organisers have set aside allocations of all ticket types for sale at 9am AEST, Wednesday, 3rd September via the festival website. Punters wanting to put themselves ahead of their ticket-buying competition should check out the festival’s ticket information page.

UPDATE 25/09/14: Julian Casablancas + The Voidz have been added to both Falls Festival and Southbound lineups. Festival organisers have also noted that both the Byron Bay and Lorne iterations of Falls Festival are now sold out, with tickets for Marion Bay still available. View the updated lineup below.

UPDATE 01/12/14: The Byron Bay leg of Falls Festival 2014/2015 has seen a capacity increase, with up to 2,500 extra to be released tomorrow, 2nd December. Three new acts have also been added to the lineup. Updated full lineup and ticket details are available below.
