ORIGINAL STORY: This That festival is returning for a third romp this year, with organisers of the Newcastle bash unveiling the official date of its 2017 instalment as well as a brand new location.
This year’s one-day rager will go down on Saturday, 4th November and pivot from its old locale on the Newy foreshore to a fresh home at Wickham Park, about 3 kays away.
The shift in coordinates comes down to the fest having to make way for the V8 supercars, but it’s also a win-win for punters, spelling optimum transportation ease thanks to the new site being right nextdoor to the Newcastle interchange = leave the car at home.
And organisers are already starting to hype up the 2kay17 instalment, saying they’re “dreaming big” on some “very special surprises in store for November”.
“The last two years saw the likes of RÜFÜS, SAFIA, ScHoolboy Q & Peking Duk blow Newcastle away and 2017 will be no different with some incredible artists to be announced on Tuesday, July 4,” a press statement reads.
A ticket presale for This That members will kick off two days after the lineup is announced on Thursday, 6th July and you can sign up for it right here.
Meanwhile, tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, 10th July.
