So with Big Day Out and the Soundwave lineup officially ticked off, all eyes are now locking in on Future Music Festival and whether the long-running EDM festival will be able to follow suit, and produce an out-of-this-world lineup that dwarfs previous years.
They really have no other option either. It’s hard to pinpoint when, but sometime over this year Australian festivals have kicked it into gear, coming out with these bills that look like something you’d see at a US or Euro festival, and given just how bloated the festival market is here, you either deliver, or die.
The lineup for Future Music Festival 2013 is yet to be announced, not even a location, (although a little bird has given us info on the Adelaide venue change). They teased us something vicious by declaring that they would reveal an ‘all star’ act if they received 1000 likes. The demands were met, but they fell through on their part of the arrangement and stayed silent.
