Your favourite summer punk, rock and metal fest Good Things is back for a mosh this December, with organisers issuing an official save-the-date for its 2025 events.
This year’s instalment of the riff-fuelled rager will run from Friday, 5th December – Sunday, 7th December, hitting festival venues in Melbourne on the Friday, Sydney on the Saturday and Brisbane on the Sunday.
All The Good Things 2024: Episode 1
No exact venues have been announced at this stage, with no word yet on when the lineup is due to drop. We copped last year’s lineup in mid-August, so it’s safe to say we can probably expect the same this year.
It comes after Good Things organisers guaranteed the festival would be back in action this year.
“2024 was another incredible year for us,” festival promoter Destroy All Lines’ top dog Chris O’Brien told Rolling Stone AU/NZ. “Our market proves that if we deliver quality line-ups and a great day out, people will keep showing up. But we don’t take that support for granted. We know we have to maintain the rage and keep things exciting.”
Good Things 2024 was headlined by nu metal legends Korn, alongside Aussie rock icons Jet, The Living End and The Butterfly Effect, and local and international heavyweights like Electric Callboy, Alpha Wolf, Violent Femmes, L7, Sleeping With Sirens and more.
Sadly, second-billed act Sum 41 were forced to cancel their final ever Australian appearance at Good Things, after frontman Deryck Whibley was hospitalised with pneumonia in Brisbane, shortly after arriving in Australia.
