Good Things Festival Announces New Melbourne Venue For 2018

UPDATE: Good Things Festival Reveals New Acts & Set Times For 2018

Australia’s new heavy music festival Good Things Festival has upgraded its Melbourne venue, ahead of its debut events in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this December.

Organisers are moving the Victorian leg of the festival from Melbourne Showgrounds to a new home at Flemington Racecourse — the same location which hosts the Melbourne edition of Download Festival.

The move is due to “stronger than anticipated” ticket sales, following the announcement of Good Things’ debut lineup, headlined by the likes of The Offspring and Stone Sour.

The new venue will allow for an increased capacity, and all tickets already purchased will be valid for the new venue.

“It was apparent the first day we went on sale that tickets for the Melbourne show were flying out the gate,” says Good Things promoter Chris O’Brien.

“With so many bucket list moments on the festival we simply had to make the decision to move to a larger venue to accommodate everyone.”

Elsewhere, Good Things is also set to take place at Brisbane Showgrounds and Sydney’s Parramatta Park.
