Guy Sebastian has scored a turkey with his latest clip for the poptastic ‘Mind On You’, which is part Nutty Professor, part Big Lebowski and part Australian Rugby star Nick Cummins in shorter shorts than usual.
Let us explain: it’s Nutty Professor in that it features the OG Aus Idol following in Eddie Murphy’s footsteps by portraying a selection of zany characters (including a flirtatious young tenpin groupie), and part Big Lebowski because the whole concept of the clip seems to have stemmed from Guy saying “Fuck it, Dude. Let’s go bowling.”
The whole thing takes place in a seedy disco bowling alley with the real G-Seb spinning tunes in the DJ booth as several of his hilarious alter-egos — including one particularly seedy character that seems to have been inspired by The Dude’s m8 Jesus — go head to head with a 70’s pornstar-esque Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins.
“I had an absolute blast making this vid and playing all the different characters,” Shannon Noll’s arch nemesis posted on Facebook. “I think I enjoyed playing Monica the most.”
Altogether, the whole thing is top quality LOL fodder and really ties the room together.
