Khalid, who will be in the country for Spilt Milk festival as well as a slew of headlining dates, joins previously announced international performers Halsey and Dua Lipa, meaning the 2019 ceremony might be one of the biggest in recent memory.
ARIA Chief Executive Dan Rosen spoke about how stoked he is that the ARIAs managed to book Khalid, who is also nominated for the Best International Artist award, to perform at the ceremony.
“What a thrill to have global superstar Khalid as one of our performers at the 2019 ARIA Awards,” he said in a statement.
“He is one of the most exciting and authentic new voices in music, with fans all around the world and Australia.”
The 2019 ARIA Awards will be held on Wednesday, 27th November at The Star in Sydney. This year’s nominations are lead by the likes of Tones & I, Thelma Plum and Paul Kelly.
