Mac DeMarco Says He “Just Finished” A “New Disc”

Mac DeMarco has told fans he “just finished mixing the new disc”, while calling a wrap on his latest project, opening some “#champers” and paying his respects to late Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher.

Posting a video to Instagram of himself opening a bottle of champagne (below), DeMarco comments, “#that’s a #wrap. Just finished #Mixin the new #disc. Time for some #champers… RIP Carrie, I’ll never forget ya, god bless.”

DeMarco’s last project was 2015’s mini-album Another One, so this cheeky new Insta post is a strong indication that his next project is pretty much ready to roll. He’s also posted some pretty goofy studio pics to his Instagram lately, so he’s clearly been having fun with the whole experience.

As for his tribute to Carrie Fisher, DeMarco is a well-known fan of the franchise, so there’s no surprise there, either.
