Presidents Of The United States Of America Announce Australian Tour 2013

No, it’s not Barack or Mitt Romney (thank God) but your favourite American alternative rock band, who sing about peaches, who are coming back! That’s right, the trio are coming to our shores in 2013 to continue the line of nostalgic acts taking us back to our heyday through their music.

Having already seen the tours of Wheatus, N-Trance, Eiffel 65 and Aqua, it only seems fitting that Presidents of the United States of America make their way Down Under. The band will be playing a string of intimate venues, including Adelaide (there’s a first). They will be “playing their classic, 5 x platinum, self-titled debut album in its entirety along with all their greatest hits”, according to their announcement, which should be quite an enticement for several of us.

With the tour comes a new release from the band, aptly titled Presidents of the United States of America 2013 Australian Tour EP; however, no tracklisting has been unveiled. It would be refreshing to see some new material from the group. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, 15th November

Update: 18/02/13

A meet-and-greet ticketing option is now available for all those interested in an hilarious story to tell. Those who purchase the meet-and-greet tickets will score a souvenir lanyard and a limited-edition Presidents tour poster, which you can get the band to scribble on should that be your sorta thing. If you’ve already bought tickets but desperately want that meet-and-greet, no stress! Simply contact your point of purchase and request an upgrade.

Support acts have now also been announced – details below.
