Record Store Day 2012 Releases

Record Store Day has become quite an important day on the music calendar. It sees musicians collaborate in odd and peculiar ways to produce something truly special for the third Saturday of April, taking place this year on the 21st. The day unites over 700 independently owned record stores in the United States, along with hundreds of independent record stores across the world, not forgetting the big labels that have now jumped on board. Looking at the full list, it seems that the 2012 Ambassador Iggy Pop has done an amazing job pulling together as many artists as possible; from reunions to re-releases, they’ve got it all.

You can check out the full list here; but here is a brief list of what I’ll be spending my pay check on come April 21st. Better get saving kids, I’ll be the guy first in line at Red Eye Records.
