UK outfit Rudimental have announce their biggest-ever Australian tour to date, with four huge headline shows locked in for May 2016.
Rudimental last toured Australia in December, where they played sold-out shows in support of their second album We The Generation. This time around, the band are heading to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, with their latest tracks and a packed-out stage of backup singers and musicians to boot.
In his review of Rudimental’s 2015 Sydney show, Music Feeds presenter Harry Fuller wrote, “The most interesting part of Rudimental’s show was how the backing vocalists, horn section and drummer were as much a part of the band as the core members… No member was stuck in one position for more than ten seconds, and the crowd felt they were part of the action.”
Aside from headline shows, Rudimental’s previous Aussie tour also saw the group play after-party DJ sets in each city, so here’s hoping that becomes a pattern again with their new tour as well.
Supporting Rudimental’s 2016 Aussie tour will be fellow UK singer-songwriter Jess Glynne and Sydney artist Thandi Phoenix, who’ll be showcasing tracks from her forthcoming debut EP.
Rudimental’s 2016 Australian tour kicks off in Brisbane on 7th May. Catch all the tour and ticket details, below.
