Glaswegian producer Rustie will debut a brand new live A/V show at two Laneway Festival 2015 sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne in January. Rustie, real name Russell Whyte, will perform at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory and Melbourne’s Howler when he’s in town for the eclectic Laneway Festival.
Last year Rustie performed at Origin NYE to help bring in 2014. When he finally returns to Australian shores, he’ll be backed by his most recent album, Green Language. The full-length release, which features the quick-hitting Danny Brown-guested single Attak (below), also dabbles in more ambient styles, combining elements of post-dubstep and trap music.
As part of Laneway 2015, Rustie will tour with fellow electronic masterminds such as Flying Lotus, FKA twigs, Flight Facilities, Caribou and Jon Hopkins.
Rustie’s Laneway Festival 2015 sideshows will take place in Sydney on Wednesday, 28th January and in Melbourne on Thursday, 29th January. Full tour and ticket details are available below.
