Boutique NSW festival Secret Garden has dropped its 2017 set times which means it’s time to start planning.
The festival, headed by Aussie legends like The Jezabels, Japanese Wallpaper and Urthboy, has dropped its two day timetable and it’s full of gold.
Secret Garden is as much about the smaller acts as it is about the headliners which is why it’s important to go through the set times with a fine tooth comb.
On Friday, you’ve got Urthboy, Total Giovanni and B Wise holding down the main stage but elsewhere you’ve also got Set Mo, Bec Sandridge and Andy Garvey playing intimate stages. There’s also a dance party tribute to George Michael.
On Saturday, The Jezabels, Japanese Wallpaper and Donny Benet will handle main stage duties while Habits, Ariane and Stereogamous can be found on the smaller stages.
It’s set to be a whimsical weekend and while much of the fun won’t be totally mapped out, it’s good to have some things set in stone.
Also worth noting, that from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, festival-goers can visit The Wrangler Pub’s bar and beer garden for performances from the likes of Body Type, Bec Sandridge, Shantan Wantan Ichiban and show off their knowledge with some classic pub trivia.
Then, following its success at Sugar Mountain, on Sunday morning Wrangler will host The Exchange Project, allowing Sydney festival-goers to swap a pair of (wearable) denim in exchange for some new Wrangler threads. All exchanged items are donated to charity for in-store resale, with proceeds going to community-based organisation Launch Housing.
