Sydney Pub The Lord Gladstone Rebrands As Religious Organisation For One-Off Sunday Service

Sydney institution The Lord Gladstone will be doing things a little differently in a few sabbaths time, with the pub announcing a holy one-day rebrand.

The pub is set to be transformed into The Gladsong Hotel on Sunday, 23rd January, keeping in line with the government’s willingness to continually give exemptions on singing and dancing to religious institutions like PM Scott Morrison’s beloved Hillsong Church, whilst pubs and nightclubs are forced to shut down any form of singing or dancing, which in most cases, has warranted temporary closures yet again.

Over the course of the spiritually-charged day, there’ll be DJs providing various songs and gospels for you to appropriately move your body to, as well as $15 jugs of House Holy Water (AKA the pub’s very own beer) and $10 Bloody Lords.

Owner of The Lord Gladstone, Mitch Crum said “It’s been an absolutely frustrating period of time for all venue owners. Right now and over the past couple of years. I can’t say I’m terribly religious though I worship live music. Does that make us exempt?”
