Californian rockers The Growlers are all set to pop their Australian cherry, announcing today they’re heading Down Under for the first time, for a string of 2014 headlining east coast tour dates this coming March.
The travelling psychedelic circus that is The Growlers released their Gilded Pleasures EP late last year to much critical acclaim. Their distinct brand of 60’s inspired Cali rock infused with vocal effects and healthy amount of reverb all result in a unique style they’ve dubbed as “Beach Goth.”
Given Australia’s geographical classification as an island nation, it seems only logical that our land of beaches should finally play host to these seaside rockers. They be playing dates in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne in early March.
