The Rubens Share New Single & Announce Massive 2022 Headline Tour

To celebrate the announcement of their major headline tour happening in February-April 2022, Sydney pop rock collective The Rubens have released the brand new single, ‘Waste A Day’.

The upcoming metro and regional tour includes The Rubens’ very own ValleyWays Festival, which will take over the band members’ hometown of Camden, NSW on Saturday 19th, February. They’ve just announced the estimable event lineup, featuring The Rubens (duh), Skegss, Middle Kids, Slowly Slowly, BLESSED and more.

‘Waste A Day’ arrives just nine months after The Rubens’ fourth studio album, 0202. Featuring the singles ‘Live in Life’ and ‘Masterpiece’, 0202 continued the run of success that began with the Sydney band’s Platinum-selling debut, self-titled album in 2012. Take a listen to ‘Waste A Day’ below.

The Rubens’s second album, 2015’s Hoops, confirmed them as one of the most popular Australian pop rock acts of their class, with its title track reaching no. 1 in the triple j Hottest 100. The band’s third LP, Lo La Ru, was named for the fictional country the band imagined as they recorded it, and delivered the hit single ‘Never Ever’ feat. Sarah.
