Wollongong’s finest are back. The VANNS have officially announced their third studio album All That’s In My Head, dropping Friday, 1st August — and it’s shaping up to be their boldest, most emotionally dialled-in record yet.
Produced by Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy), the new LP was born out of two whirlwind recording sessions — one in London hot off the back of a UK tour, and the other back home in regional NSW. That mix of jetlag and hometown grounding promises to give All That’s In My Head a dual energy: road-worn and world-ready, but still unmistakably The VANNS.
The VANNS – ‘Up All Night’
“We had a ball making it, we hope you dig it, and we can’t wait to play it live,” says guitarist/keyboardist Cameron Little. “This record really is what the title suggests — it’s all the stuff rattling around in our heads, turned into songs.”
Fans won’t have to wait long for a taste — the band’s new single ‘Accomplice’ drops next week. The VANNS have described the forthcomer as a moody, slow-burning anthem about having someone in your corner no matter how messy life gets.
“It’s a hopeful love song dressed up as a quasi-crime story, and vice versa,” they say.
It’s been a steady climb for The VANNS, who cracked the ARIA Top 10 with 2023’s Last Of Your Kind LP, and have since taken their high-voltage live show to SXSW Austin, Splendour, Falls, Yours & Owls, The Great Escape UK and beyond — not to mention support slots for The Kooks, The Wombats and Inhaler.
With All That’s In My Head, The VANNS are levelling up. Still raw, still real — but louder, tighter, and ready for whatever’s next.
