Tupac’s ‘Hail Mary’ Accidentally Published For Catholic Christmas Service

Church services take place during Christmas all over the world, and these gatherings are usually a mix of Christmas carols, hymns and prayer.

However when those attending Sri Lanka’s Catholic Joy to the World Festival opened their hymn book to see Tupac’s posthumous 1997 release ‘Hail Mary’ instead of the prayer by the same name – there would have surely been widespread confusion.

That is indeed what happened, and a Twitter user posted images of the published lyrics that came with the carol book given out to over 1000 attendees at the service in Columbo earlier this month.

We’re betting that the service probably took on a whole new meaning when Pac’s sweet rhymes like “I ain’t a killer, but don’t push me / Revenge is like the sweetest joy next to gettin’ pussy,” and “Bow down, pray to God hoping that he’s listenin / Seein’ niggers comin’ for me, to my diamonds, when they glistenin’.”

Check out some of the images from the tweet, below.
