Just a year after breaking a long silence with the release of their sixth studio LP Clancy, Twenty One Pilots have announced the imminent arrival of another brand new album.
Their seventh full-length, dubbed Breach, will arrive this September. While our first taste of the forthcoming record, a song called ‘The Contract, will reach our ears in just a few short weeks on June 12th.
“let’s finish this”
In a social media post announcing the surprise news, the genre-bending Ohio duo insinuated that the forthcoming LP will build on TOP lore previously explored across 2018’s Trench and 2015’s Blurryface LPs, acting as the final chapter in the ongoing musical narrative.
“hello Clancy / hello Blurryface / let’s finish this |-/,” they wrote.
Breach arrives at a career peak for Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, who just wrapped The Clancy World Tour earlier this month, which saw them visit Aussie fans last November, playing a trio of arena shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
Just last week, Twenty One Pilots also celebrated the 10th anniversary of their chart-topping and record-breaking album, Blurryface, which has amassed an eye-watering 15 billion streams to date.
While we wait for ‘The Contract’ to drop, pre-orders of Breach are available now and you can suss ’em right here.
