The noted one-man stage invader face-kicking machine turned his attention to another type of crowd pest during the band’s show in Nova Scotia on Monday night.
Fan-shot footage of the performance shows the punk veterans bantering with the crowd, before laying eyes upon one particular individual whose very presence they found offensive, a bearded gent in a tie-dyed shirt who didn’t seem to be laughing along with the rest of the audience. A hipster.
But rather than kicking the offending beardo in the face like you’d probably expect, ever the industrialist, Fat Mike instead offered him a tidy $100 to GTFO.
“Yeah, you know what? You have no business being here. I will pay you $100 to leave this show,” he bartered. “Are you going to stand in front and bother me all day with your fucking tie dye shirt and your beard?”
“We have a no hipsters rule”, offered guitarist El Hefe.
But the chap seemed determined to stay put, so Mike settled for a secondary transaction. He purchased the offending shirt off old mate’s back for a tidy $20.
Bet he could have used that cashish to buy some sweet NOFX merch. Or afford some regular-person crockery, am I right?
Witness the whole exchange in the video, below, kicking in at around the 01.45 mark.
