Watch Fatboy Slim Remix Greta Thunberg’s UN Speech Into ‘Right Here, Right Now’

Dance legend Fatboy Slim has sampled young climate activist Greta Thunberg‘s incredibly striking speech to the United Nations into his verified banger ‘Right Here, Right Now’, performing the mash-up during a set in Gateshead over the weekend.

As The Guardian reports, the new mix features Thunberg’s potent message to world leaders last month – “People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction. And all you can talk about is money. You are failing us, and the young people are starting to understand your betrayal.”

The sample continues, including her warning to those in power – “We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now is where we draw the line.”

It’s not the first time the music world has celebrated the 16-year old activist. Earlier this month, her UN speech was turned into a ferocious death metal track, to which Thunberg jokingly responded “I have moved on from this climate thing… From now on I will be doing death metal only.”

Back in June, The 1975 shared a new, self-titled song which features the words and voice of Thunberg, with profits going to climate organisation Extinction Rebellion.
