Watch Gatecrashers Wreak Havoc At Groovin The Moo

A crowd of around 50 people jumped a fence at Groovin The Moo in Bunbury on Anzac Day, breaking down the barricade and making it into the festival without paying a cent. Now, footage of the incident has surfaced online.

The footage (below) shows a group of mostly male punters charging the fence and climbing over it, before a larger group manages to pull down one section of the fence, which a swarm of people immediately run through.

Bunbury Police Sergeant Matt Leishman told the Bunbury Mail that there is a culture of fence-jumping at festivals across Australia. Sergeant Leishman also said that police and festival promoters plan to discuss preventative strategies for future events.

Similar scenes have occurred at other recent music festivals, including Future Music 2014 and the Sydney and Perth legs of Listen Out 2014.

In other Groovin The Moo news, Police laid 50 charges during the Bunbury leg of the festival, including eight for possession of prohibited drugs with intent to sell and supply.

“People still seem to be trying to bring stuff in despite our warnings – there were a few more people with LSD which is a bit more uncommon, as well as pills, cannabis and powders,” Sergeant Leishman said. “Some people tried to disguise the smell with coffee but that doesn’t work and some were bringing large amounts in and claiming it was for personal use – our dog picked up a bag of 30 on one guy.”

Despite flooding in the Maitland area, Groovin The Moo 2015 heads there this weekend before wrapping up in Townsville.
