Watch: Green Day Release Third Trailer For ‘¡Tre!’ + Album Artwork

Green Day have released the artwork and trailer for their third disc ¡Tre!, which follows on from the last two trailers that we saw in the past two weeks. Just like the first and second, the album cover shows a member of the band. This time it is drummer Tre Cool appearing with a blue background and crosses over his eyes.

The third clip follows on from the second, showing the band performing live and getting up to various hijinks. Past clips have shown the band in the studio writing and recording, but with the more laid back theme of these recent ones, it’s clear that the band are now ready to unleash their trilogy upon the world.

The new album is a follow-up to the band’s highly successful 2009 album 21st Century Breakdown. Long-time producer Rob Cavallo has been helping with the recording in their hometown of Oakland, CA. The trio recently said of the new albums:

“We are at the most prolific and creative time in our lives. This is the best music we’ve ever written, and the songs just keep coming, Instead of making one album, we are making a three-album trilogy. Every song has the power and energy that represents Green Day on all emotional levels. We just can’t help ourselves… We are going epic as fuck!”

Green Day will be releasing a new single Oh Love on 16th July, while the three albums ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré! will come out on different dates, starting with ¡Uno! on September 25, 2012 and the next two on November 13, 2012 and January 15, 2013.
