Young Henrys Reboot Free Gig Series, Best Served Loud, With The UV Race

Sydney brewery Young Henrys is relaunching its free gig series, Best Served Loud. They’ve teamed up with Melbourne label, Anti Fade Records, to curate a lineup of local favourites, led by art-punk outfit, The UV Race.

The UV Race will be joined by rock’n’rollers R.M.F.C, paisley-pop ensemble Parsnip, and new-wave nonconformists Hierophants at Melbourne’s Max Watt’s on Friday, 17th June.

Young Henrys launched the Best Served Loud initiative in 2019, hosting regular free-entry gigs at numerous Melbourne music venues. The upcoming show at Max Watt’s was originally planned for 2021. The benefit of the delay is that Max Watt’s will be running at full-capacity. You can register for free tickets via Oztix.

Musician Billy Gardner (Ausmuteants) launched Anti Fade Records in 2012. The label’s inaugural release was the compilation, New Centre of the Universe Vol. 1, which featured tracks from Dick Diver, The UV Race, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, The Murlocs, Hierophants, The Frowning Clouds and more.

Over the years, Anti Fade’s released music by Primo!, Alien Nosejob, EXEK, Constant Mongrel, Parsnip, Bananagun and a couple more New Centre of the Universe compilations.
